Converse Clash – Winter shouldn’t be boring.

A few weeks ago, Converse launched a global Winter campaign, “Clash”, that saw a collaboration between local artists and the Converse community.

The campaign was inspired by the Winter 2014 Converse All Star Collection that features a range of colours-winter shouldn’t be boring, I agree.

The first installment was a wall clash with two buildings, one in Johannesburg and one in Cape Town received a colorful and artistic makeover.

I was lucky to be part of the second phase titled “Photo clash.” Converse partnered with two amazing illustrators, Ninja Bread Boy and Bruce Mackay who were responsible for turning ordinary pictures into unique pieces of artwork.

Fans could take part in the 24 hour Twitter campaign by tweeting their photos to @Converse_Africa with #clashmyphoto. Of course, I couldn’t resist… Have a look at mine below and follow the #tag to view all the other rad pieces.

Something for the modern man

One of the very few menswear labels in SA and possibly my favorite, Adriaan Kuiters delivers classy, tailored yet edgy pieces for the modern man. Personally, It reminds me of the Calvin Klein generation; a celebration of your individuality and self-expression, the chance to be yourself, well kind of, in something produced by someone else.

Check out some of my favourite items and while you’re at it, have a look at his online store at www.adriaankuiters.com or www.36man.comImageImage
