The Full Monty: Ronaldo’s CR7 SS15 Collection

This post does not contain a lot of words. I don’t think they are necessary. I promise, I will write another blog about the different kinds of undies. For now, just, like, look at the pictures, man.

The SS15 CR7 by Cristiano Ronaldo underwear collection continues to represent the sportsman’s own love of bold colour and features bright new colourways for the Spring/Summer season.

Ronaldo says, “I love vibrant colours and underwear is a great way to experiment with different looks. The bright pink and red in the new collection and the bold patterns gives it a distinctive look for Spring/Summer- I like to make sure that the collection stands out! I’m really out and proud of it.”

Fashion orientated prints are new for this season and include playful graphics based on the distinctive CR7 logo. The emphasis for the product this season is firmly on delivering stylish designs which offer unrivalled comfort and fit.

The collections will be available at selected Edgars stores.

David Gandy for S&M. Oops, I mean M&S

First things first. Male modelling is a real thing, ok? Now that we’ve settled that, I had to share the best thing to hit my screen this week.

Since he landed up on that boat for Dolce & Gabbana’s Light Blue ad, David Gandy has become world’s most famous male model. Well, after Tyson Beckford.

This dapper gentleman partnered with Marks & Spencer (M&S) to launch a sleepwear collection that’s reinventing the retailer’s image. It’s also responsible for the small beads of sweating forming on my forehead whenever I look at the image.

Have a look at the collection below and feel free to right-click, save and set as screensaver. Go on, I know you want to.

To view the entire collection, visit the M&S website.

Edcon set to launch Express in South Africa

Edgars is fast becoming the biggest fashion retailer with its inclusion of major fashion brands in their stores. First they brought us Topman, Diesel, Guess and Tom Tailor.  The latest and one which I am really excited about, is  U.S fashion apparel brand, Express.

For more than 30 years the Express brand has offered a distinct combination of fashion and quality for multiple lifestyle occasions at an attractive value addressing fashion needs across work, casual, jeanswear, wear to work and going-out occasions.

The brand is expected to launch as a store-in-store concept at select Edgars locations by the end of 2014 as well as a stand-alone Express Shop.

Here are some of my favourite items from the Express online store.

Converse launches CONS Project Joburg

A few years back, Converse SA started driving creative footwear and some of my favourite ranges include The Simpsons and street art-inspired designs.

This week, they announced the local leg of a globally successful creative drive, the CONS Project Joburg. This community projects was designed to inspire the next generation of creative spirits through music, art, style and skate.

The project seeks to unearth urban creativity within the community using the space as a creative hub for a series of talks, workshops and exhibitions; all aimed at inspiring young people, giving them opportunities to learn whilst fueling their creative passions.

The workshops will offer hands-on lessons for local youth ranging from 16 and above at no cost.

DJ Duo, Mary Jane, who will put together a Mixing Workshop and entertaining the crowds, feel inspired by the project. “Converse and more specifically CONS feel like a natural extension of who we are. They are about modern street culture and stand out for enabling creativity.”

CONS Project Joburg is set to take place at the corner of Melle and Jorissen Street in Braamfontein from 29 May to 1 June 2014.

For more info, check out @Converse_Africa on Twitter or follow the converstion  #ConsProjectJHB.
